Reclaiming the Fathers: Back into the Community, the Family and Relationships: We will serve as a convener, a champion/advocate, and a service delivery entity to equip and position fathers to assume their responsibilities in the family. Our intent is to work with a collaborative network that is committed to the strengthening of our communities, families, and relationships.
One of our intentions is to host a series of forums/gatherings aimed at fostering community dialogue regarding strategies to repair the broken links which keep fathers out of alignment. We seek to create a safe place for dialogue and cultivate an environment conducive for healing, restoration, and renewal to begin.
There is a ‘Daddy Void’ and the traumatic effects of his absence in our lives is felt from childhood into adulthood. Many have endured varying levels of traumatic experiences that have left emotional, psychological, and physical scars. The cycle of brokenness is a shared experience that impacts both men and women, influencing how we show up in our daily lives.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes - Don't judge a person until you have walked (a mile) in their shoes - To spend time considering or understanding another person's perspectives, experiences, or motivations before making a judgment about them.
At this event, we will create a safe space for men to unpack the trauma and experiences that continue to hinder their growth.
Coach them on how to rewrite their narrative and refuel them for the journey ahead.

Our 2nd Annual Rise Up Summit is held to recognize and celebrate International Men’s Day. Each year, on November 19th, over 80 countries worldwide celebrate International Men’s Day, highlighting the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and communities. Events on this day focus on encouraging men to teach the boys in their lives the values, character, and responsibilities of being a man while shining the spotlight on positive role models and raising awareness of men’s well-being.
The Rise Up Summit is a hybrid (in-person and virtual) event that provides an excellent opportunity to participate in a global conversation about manhood, masculinity, and issues men face, as well as engage in solution-driven, interactive. These high-powered sessions challenge all in attendance to identify actionable strategies that impact the overall strength of our families, communities, and nations.
KEY TOPICS/THEMES: Interactive & Engaging Presentations that acknowledge the research and lean in to listen to diverse panels as they discuss the lived experiences in boyhood, manhood, and fatherhood. Interventions and opportunities are needed to uproot policies negatively impacting males of color. Presentation formats include a Keynote speaker & luncheon, 3 -5 person panels, hands-on activities, and an intensive dialogue with mothers & fathers about parenting the male child.
